Thank you for visiting my little part of the web. My name is John Rodriguez and my passion is good design. I have been in the business for over 11 years. During this long period I have accumulated a wealth of knowledge and clients. I strive to provide simple, yet elegant solutions for those would seek to employ me. My rule of thumb is that good design compliments the information being presented. Design should never get in the way. However, based on this same principle, good design should also be attractive and inviting.
If you remember a web site it's because it is either very good, or very bad. In most cases, and sad to say, poor design is often what is remembered. In this case the information or the message is lost and thus the whole point of the design is wasted. My goal when approaching any project is to make sure that the "first glance" is inviting and that it draws the viewer in. Too many designers seem to focus on Flash instead of substance. I think often of Paul Rand and how his icon logos have surpassed the test of time. I am by no means a Paul Rand, but I do try to approach all projects with solid principles in mind.
